CAMPING AND BRANDING..... AGAIN

On Friday and Saturday, we went out by the bears ears to camp, ride, and brand again. Oh, it was wonderful. This is one of my favorite places. I LOVE to camp in the quakies and pines. The smells, the cool breeze. Ahhhh............ As usual the kids were great. They are always good when we are out in the mountains. They kept themselves busy playing in the dirt, going on walks, playing with thier cousins, and riding the horses. Trace had a great time collecting rocks. His pockets were so full, that his pants were falling down. On friday when we were getting ready to leave, I was putting Trace's boots on and was having a hard time. Turns out they are too small for him. Saturday morning when I went to put them on, he had huge blisters on his little toes. He ended up having to wear Tayia's PINK tennis shoes all day. He of course didn't care that they were pink, and I have to say, he looked dang cute in his camo pants, cowboy shirt, leather gloves, cowboy hat, and pink shoes. Tayia was content to sit by me and watch what was going on. She was so patient waiting for Steve to get done roping so they could go on a horse ride together. She was telling everyone- "I get to ride Carla and Daddy gets to ride Pete." Steve got to rope the whole time this time around and he was in heaven. He didn't have to get down and do any of the dirty work, although, I can tell you he still stunk like he had done the dirty work. The smell of branding is something I don't think I will ever get used too. Karma came over from Richfield, and Marti brought her kids out. My grandma and mom were also out there for a while on friday. We missed Kaden, but he was having a fun time at scout camp. We had a wonderful time as we always do. How could we not? Family, Friends, and Outdoors. Three things we love dearly.
