AN AFTERNOON OF PLAY

While we were up north about a month ago, I took the kids to the Children's Museum at the Gateway. Our good friends Anna and Treyden went along, while the dad's (Steve and Talon) went browsing sporting goods stores. The kids had a blast! They played with construction tools, played at a train table, played "kitchen", rode a horse, played with some water, painted, played with a huge xylophone, pretended to be a cashier at the grocery store, and best of all played with balls that had this suction thing. They put the balls in this little hole, and it suctioned it up above the kids in a tube and then fell out into a big ball pit. The kids enjoyed this the most. It was a fun afternoon. For a treat, the kids got whistle suckers. They thought it was pretty neat that they could blow into the sucker and have it whistle. Well, except for Trace. He didnt really care about the musical aspect, he just wanted to down that sucker man. We killed a couple of hours and kept the kids occupied and content what more could we ask for?
