This picture is pretty old, but I had to do a post because I use this blog as my journal. I want it to be documented because I want Trace to know one day how much this touches my heart. It has always been hard for us to do family home evening or scripture study because my kids just don't sit still. But one thing I have always been very insistent about is family prayer. Trace has recently wanted to say the prayer on his own. He doesn't want any help, he just wants to say what he has to say. I have been so impressed...... He always says how thankful he is for Baxter, play-doh, fireworks, his four-wheeler and pocket knife, monster trucks, hot wheels, friends, family (and he names all the family members- grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, etc.) books, food, the horses, suckers, cowboy boots. This list could seriously go on and on. My niece Kya broke her arm about a week and a half ago and he has been so concerned about her and prays for her arm to get better. Whenever my mom or dad are traveling back and forth, he always prays for them to drive safe. We went and saw some puppies over at Shawn's house the other night and he has been praying for the little puppies. Whenever Steve is gone he always prays for him to come home safe. I tell you, this kid thinks of everything. His prayers are always VERY VERY long, but it doesn't bother me at all. How could it? It's amazing for me to see the world through the eyes of a two year old. To see how thankful he is for the small things in life. To see how concerned he gets about other people. It touches my heart to know that in this busy world, little kids enjoy life. Trace and his prayers have been an inspiration for me to slow down and remember the smaller things in life that make me happy, smaller things that I am truly thankful for.

That is so cute!
Michelle, look how little and sweet he is. I love this picture. That is the cutest thing ever. I just wish we could go back and remember these little tiny moments that make up our lives and bring us happiness.
I am the same as sara, I wasn't really planning on crying today, oh, wait I have already three or four times, over great things like this!
What a great example this little guy is.
brookie
That is so sweet. I remember the first time Isaac folded his arms and closed his eyes during a prayer and it made me cry. Kids are amazing.
I'm with you, my blog is my best journal. So it is great to post things like that so that we never forget those moments. Heaven knows some days we need a little reminder that they aren't monsters all the time.
Congrats on your new calling!
Okay, that is seriously the cutest picture ever! When it is time to have prayers Stetson tries really hard to close his eyes, and he sits still for about 15 seconds - then he is gone. It is still so cute to see them try. Treasure these moments - they don't last!
Hi Michelle- I just found your blog, and I am so glad I did! How precioius is this post?! And let me tell ya, put it with your music and it's like one of those inspirational videos you see on the internet:) Your kids are adorable, both of them! AND I absolutely love that quote by Marjorie Hinckley. I'm so glad you posted that, thanks for sharing!
