Steve and Talon went on a backpacking/fishing trip over in Colorado. They had a great time even though they got rained out and had to come home early. They left early Friday morning, backpacked in about four miles, fished, slept a little, ate a little, fished, and then fished some more. Then it started lightning/thundering/raining, and the river started rising so they decided to play it safe and head home. (Thanks boys, I truly appreciate you sacrificing more fishing to get home safely) They got here in the wee hours of the morning on Sunday. They caught quite a few fish, and Steve caught a huge one- the biggest one he's ever caught outside of the salmon in WA. But, he could never get it in his net to take a picture. He claims it was too big to fit in the net AND he wants everyone to know that Talon can verify that. (we all know that buddies stick together on fishing stories) but they did get one of it underwater. They saw some beautiful country, and were able to get away from the world for a couple of days. Thanks to Talon for making the trip down, and thanks to both of the boys for taking pictures!
