DEMO DERBY

Another reason we went up to Heber was for the demolition derby. This year was different because Ty didn't build a car. He has been doing it for like 8 years and finally decided to take a break. It was pretty weird. My car was still in pretty good shape from last year, so i decided to do it one more time. Dad and Ty did a few fixer uppers, but really didn't have that much work to do. I only placed fourth this time, but still had a great time. The girl that won was a MEAN girl that drives with the guys! My dad and brother told me before the derby even started to watch out for her. They said not to hit her or I would make her mad and she would get revenge. Well, while I was in there driving I saw her over in one corner and man I had a good shot. I could hear Tyler and my dad's words in the back of my head but decided- what the heck, I can't pass this up. So pedal to the metal- I went for it. I hit her pretty darn hard. I was pretty proud of myself. Of course she got me back. In one of these pictures, you can see her hitting me hard. (Her car is the orange one) Yup, it pretty much hurt. I broke something called the crank shaft? I am pretty sure that's what Tyler said it was. So I basically didn't have steering. It was a bummer sitting there watching the last three cars duke it out. Nyle and Karma drove up to watch me, which was great. Thanks guys for the support. I also got to see and visit with some of my old friends, which was really great. I really missed my mom being there this year. She was down in Richfield at my cousin Tia's wedding. It just wasn't the same without her there. Like the other years, I am so thankful to everyone that helped out. Especially Ty and Dad. Of course I would never be able to do this if it wasn't for them. I feel bad that I didn't do better. They put a lot of time and work into that car, and I wish I could have won for them. So, here is the end of my derby career. What a blast it has been. I am blessed to have such a great family. Thanks again everyone- I had a great time!

Hi Michelle, I am so glad you found me. I don't know what happened to that paper that had your address on it but I can't find it. I'm sure I'll come accross it once this house is all unpacked:(
We are doing good here and are really enjoying being in Cedar again.
Looks like you've been busy too. I can't believe you do demolition derby. I think I would be too scared.
