Okay, I have a little bit of advice for all moms-
I was getting ready for the day and Tayia came up the stairs crying. Not just any cry, one of those scared to death cries. She was so upset that she could not talk. I started looking her up and down to see if there was something wrong with her. I couldn't see anything. So I thought, crap, I better check Trace. He was downstairs soundly sleeping. I had no idea what the problem was. After she calmed down enough to talk, she said- A band-aid went up my nose. So, there it was. I was wondering if she was serious, I looked up there and couldn't really see anything. I asked her about a zillion times if she was sure. She said- YES mom it went up my nose. So I plugged the open side and had her blow like she was blowing her nose. Sure enough, I could see it moving up there slightly. I had no idea what to do. I wasn't too sure about getting some tweezers to pull it out because I didn't wan't to push it up there farther. So, I called a nurse from down here that I love. She told me to plug the open nostril then put my mouth over Tays (like when you are doing mouth to mouth) and then blow really hard. I tried it once and nothing. The second time I tried it I blew so darn hard. It was kind of scary. Anyway, out it flew. I was amazed. I never would have thought to do that. So, if any of your kids ever shove something up their nose, here is a solution to your problem. I still don't know what possesed her to do it. I don't think I better ask either. It was pretty tramatic for her. Needless to say, I don't think she will be doing that again any time soon.
